He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy I. Payne; and his brother Charles Payne. He is survived by: his children, Jolie Ann Payne and John Michael Payne; his sister Nora Milner; his brother-in-law Scott Milner; and his nieces, Karen Musser, Sabrina Cunningham, Kari Payne and Tifany Markee.
