She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Garland and Zadie Manning; her husband Grady Harper; her siblings, Willie Ray Garland, Otha Garland, Arthus Garland, Alfonoso Garland, Marie Wallace, Annie Thurmond, Charline Thompson, Annie Ross and Alma Kennedy; and her grandson Billy Harper, Jr..
She is survived by: her siblings, Neva Pettit of Dallas, Oscar Garland, Jr. of Tempest and Melvin Garland of Kilgore, Texas. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
