He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Cruz and Emilia Ocampo; his wife Beatriz Roman; and his children, Valeriano and Macaria.
He is survived by: his children, Cristino, Manolita, Orlando, Nelly, Aurora, Emelda, Gemma and Ailyn. He is also survived by spouses, as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
