He is survived by: his wife Linda Avila; his children, Frances Avila and Joe Avila (Tracy Avila); his grandchildren, Justin Hawkins, Amanda Hawkins, Jalynn Avila and Taylie Avila; his great grandchildren, Alexia Hawkins and Justin Brian Hawkins; and his brothers, Richard (Kathy Avila) and Sam (Sue Avila). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law's and sister-in-law.
