She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Fred Whisenhunt; her daughter Robin; her stepdaughters, Rachel and Rhonda; her mother Merrily Ayres (Kelliher); her friend Marlene Backman; her grandchildren, Sean and Quinn Whisenhunt (Ryan); her great grandchild Melody (Lindsay); her son Ryan; her daughter-in-law Heather; and her granddaughter Lindsay.
Valerie was a member of Centerpoint Community Church and attended weekly services and Bible studies there until the pandemic hit in 2020 and their services went online.
