He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob Hoekstra and Hilda Hoekstra; his wife Joann Hibma McManis; his children, Charlene Dillender (Chuck), Jack Hoekstra (Ellie), Kurt Hoekstra (Becky), Debra McManis and Mark McManis (Kyndra); his grandchildren, Camryn and Caleb Dillender; his children, Cara, Willem (Kelly), Jay, Dustin Hoekstra, Tanner, Colton, Mackenzie Hoekstra, Clay and Levi McManis; his former wife Caroline Vander Meulen; and his siblings, Seppie Knot and Bob Hoekstra.
