He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Garren and J. A. Garren; and his son Ryan Villines. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Garren; his children, Alan Jay Garren Jr. of Union City, Kelly Castillo of Manteca and Lorie Weaver of Lodi; his sister Rhonda C. Brown (Frank J. Brown); his niece Katrina Hoon; his nephew Joshua Brown; and his great-nieces, Jewel of Stockton, Kaci of Stockton and Cristina of Stockton.
