He is survived by: his former wife Arlene Mack; his wife Bonnie Pottlitzer; his children, David Pearl of Long Beach, Debbie Pearl of Glendale, AZ, Douglas Pearl of Huntington Beach and Wendy Pearl Karanfilian of Oakland; and his grandchildren, Amy Karanfilian, Zoe Karanfilian, Roman Pearl, Ivan Pearl and Emilia Pearl.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society, in his honor.
