“I loved LaFreeda. We worked together at Feather River Hospital from 2001 until the early 2010’s. We were buddies and worked on a number of projects together. We worked together developing The Gift of Giving. She asked me to join her Mission Focus Group. We became grandmothers the same year and rejoiced with one another. I teased her about driving a Mercedes Benz. And I always sang the old Janis Joplin song to her (Oh Lord won’t you a Mercedes Bentz) and she would laugh and laugh. Out of space”
