We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2021, at the age of 83, James Ogden Hopkins Jr. of Berkeley, California, born in Galveston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Melinda Hopkins; his sisters, Jeanette Ingram and Sharon Lyles; and his children, Debra, Yvette, Kelley, Angela, Danielle, Daryl and John. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Due to COVID restrictions there will be a private memorial service.
