“I can't believe this!!! I was wanting to call Gerry today. Haven't talked to him in decades. I saw his retirement post a few years back. I was acting in his production of "The Drunkard" in 1976. I used the Word chutzpah, pronouncing it correctly, and he immediately asked me if I was Jewish.. I'm Italian. But my 100% Italian mother had many Jewish friends and it was the only way I knew to say it. He was a great teacher and person. I'm saddened I won't get to reminisce with him.”
