She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Efroim'Frank'Ber; her sisters, Rita Baldi (Joe) and Judy Bacon; her stepchildren, Wendy Shirmer, Betty Ber, Leon Ber, Michael Ber and Ben Ber (Linda); and her stepgrandchildren, Amanda Shirmer, Sarah Elimelech (David) and Jeremy Ber.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Services (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077).

She gave so much of herself to so many people, especially those she mentored and befriended in the writing/ poetry world. Working on her last book of poetry with her gave me a real chance to know her as a wise elder.
