He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Gronewold and Marilyn Gronewold. He is survived by: his daughter Holly Miles; his siblings, Mark Gronewold (Kelly) and Dianna Higgins (Virginia) of Virginia Beach; his nieces, Kristen Gronewold and Jamie Gronewold; his nephew Brian Gronewold (Ashley); his friend Chris Christensen; and his pet Jack. He is also survived by 3 great nieces and a great nephew.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Arizona Humane Society, an organization that Randy felt strongly about.
