She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Wendell and Irene Maxine Sims; her siblings, Gerald Sims and Kathleen Sims; and her son Brent Lee Clifford.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil Max Byrd; her children, Scott Clifford (Mary Lou), Kathleen Copeland (Perry), Kelly Teach and Christin Christopher (Joe); her stepchildren, Rita Lucas, Sterling Byrd, Dindy Byrd and Sharla Sanderson; and her siblings, Gwen Dunbar, Christine Edminston, Rodney Sims, Peggy Kemp, Gail Deltalio, Deborah Heath and Wendy Sullivan. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
