He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Phillip Jesus Salazar, Sr. and Erlinda Thresa Baca Salazar; his wife Anne Chavez Salazar; his children, Melissa (Nick Konwin), Shawn (Caty), Aaron (Kylie) and Joshua (Micah); his grandchildren, Tyler, Nic, Jacob, Crew, Bella, Lexi, Ellie, Alexis, Kinsley and Asher; and his siblings, James, Paul, Fred, Jon, Mike, Cathy, Debbie, Anne Marie and Robert.
