He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian and Marie of Klerk Korpel; his sisters, Henrietta and Wiebke; his son Joost; and his sibling Newfoundland.
He is survived by: his nephew Ivo Kamps (Deborah Barker); his stepchildren, Amy Gants Brucker (Greg), Laura Gants Guy (Clif), Kathleen Phelps (Bob O'Connor), Carmen Maendel (Nathanael) and Jim Tran Phelps (Mila Marko); his daughter-in-law Margaret Korpel; and also Ann.
