With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin R. Schmidt of Mesa, Arizona, born in Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on May 16, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Schmidt and Mabel Schmidt (Gosda); his brother Eldon Schmidt; his brother-in-law Bill Swoboda; and his niece Brooke Claassen.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Schmidt of Wood River and Peggy Michel (Todd) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Samuel and Rachel; his great grandchild Adalynn; and his siblings, Roger Schmidt (Jeannette), Chuck Schmidt, Carol Swoboda, Beverly Davis (Rick) and Cynthia Moon (Kevin).
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
