He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Lewis, Sr. and Eva Jenkins Lewis; and his brother Ralph A. Lewis, Jr.. He is survived by: his sisters, Velma Lewis Perkins, Carol Lewis Downing and Sharlia K. Lewis; and his daughter Shannon Lewis. He is also survived by three siblings, many nieces and nephews.

He donated this year's elk tag to Make A Wish Foundation.
