He was predeceased by: his parents, Nace M. Haugen and Jane MaKee Haugen. He is survived by: his sister Geraldine Bergen (Rodney) of Moorehead, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Odell Flaagan (Ilyce) of Tolna, ND, Bud Loe of McVille, ND and Margie Henningsgard (Tracy) of Valley City, ND. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

His knowledge, guidance, and patience were the foundation of his family.
