He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Johnston and Zara Lamaroux Johnston; his son Lyndon Johnston; and his siblings, Lois, Edris, Nadine, Eugene and Coy.
He is survived by: his sister Verba Meteer (Russell); his children, Daniel Johnston (Laura), Jon Johnston (Ruth), Arlea Lee (Gary), Leslie Jones and Anita Robbins (Marty); and his stepchildren, Tim Shannon (Mary), Nancy Harrington (Bob Loback), Gayla Shaefer (Bill) and Patrick Shannon (Ronda). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
