He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Nathaleen Womeldorf (Redick); and his son Richard Womeldorf. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Womeldorf (Grant); his children, James Womeldorf (Janey) of Bradford, England, Ronald Womeldorf (Christine) of Waupaca, WI and Tamara Philotoff (Mark) of Eustis, FL; and his daughter-in-law Pamela Womeldorf of Baroda, MI. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
