He was predeceased by: his father Constantino Vela; and his brother Constantino Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Petra Vela; his wife Nancy; his daughter Mia; his grandsons, EJ, Evan, Erik, Adriel and Blanco; and his sisters, Maribel, Belia and Yesenia. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
