He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph and Rose Hess (Schneider); his siblings, Albert, Gilbert, Paul, Raymond, Billy Hess, Clara Hylle, Rose Marie Long and Agnes Sorce; and his great grandchild Mary Keaton Hess.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret Boeckmann; his wife Carol Hess; his children, Steve Hess (Lavon) of Wynne, Sonya Jackson (Jim) of Rockwall, Holly Barrow (Brian) of Eads and Pam Prince (Brandt) of Auburn, Alabama; his sisters, Betty Buergler of Jefferson City, Dorothy Dettlinger (Ronnie) of Indianapolis and Ruthie Wilson-Miller (Lowell) of Morristown, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Misti Hess, Corbin Hess (Stephanie), Jordan Neri (Phil), Nicole Miller (Nathan), Rusty Jackson, Ethan Barrow, Ellie Barrow, Evan Barrow, Austin Prince, Tyler Prince, Ben Prince and Juliana Prince. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
