He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack George and Zulieme George; his son Shane Alan George; and his siblings, Jack George, James Perry George, Joe George, Alein George and Julia George.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Shae Anthony George of Wynne, Shawn Ashley Smith (Jason) and Tammy Lynn Baw; and his brothers, Pat George (Rosa Lee), Jerry Paul George (Teresa), Jeffrey George of Holly Grove and Powell George (Bambi). He is also survived by spouses, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
