Doris Merrell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Merrell of Wynne, Arkansas, born in Colt, Arkansas, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Watson and Ola Watson (McGee); her husband John Merrell, Sr.; her siblings, William, Ben Watson, Lois Taegtmeyer and Edna Leonard; and her grandchildren, Cody Wood and Janie Merrell.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Hunt, Wade Hunt of Wynne, Lisa Merrell of Wynne and Karla Wood of Wynne; and her brother Edward Watson (Bea) of Wynne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-children; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Thompson-Wilson Funeral Homes abide by the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and mandates by Governor Asa Hutchinson, requiring the wearing of masks and the practice of social distancing.
