He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Beulah Hall Armstrong; his siblings, Billy Armstrong and Ruth Armstrong; and his daughters, Nena Myers and Lynn Crocker.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Thompson Armstrong; his children, Terri Taylor, Rick Armstrong (Christine), Toni Armstrong, Kelly Joe Armstrong (Jody) and Roxanne Adkins (Steve); and his siblings, Hershel Armstrong (Catherine), Frances Neal and Deborah Carpenter (Randy). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
