He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Rennie Batterton and Beulah Arenda Batterton (Emery); his son Ronnie Kay Batterton; and his siblings, Wanda Guffey, Wilma Dean Brown, Sue Billings and Smokey Batterton.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gene Schaufler of Viola, Arkansas; his children, Kelly Batterton (Dana) of Salem, Mike Batterton (Duana) of Viola, Arkansas and Teresa Walker (Scott) of Elizabeth, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Luke Humphries (Sylvia), Kasey Humphries (Mallory), Derek Batterton, Tyler Batterton, Tate Batterton, Kohl Batterton and Ryan Walker (Kandie); his great grandchildren, Layla Humphries, Nora Humphries, Evie Humphries, Shepherd Humphries, Peyton Jewel Humphries, Birdie Walker and Mabel Walker; and his siblings, Jack Batterton of Viola, Jim Batterton of Viola, Hoppy Batterton of Viola, Arkansas, Janette Schlie (Gary) of Independence and Pam Burns (Larry) of Viola, Arkansas.
