He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smallwood and Hattie Smallwood (Whisenant); his wife Frances Smallwood; and his sister Earline Smallwood. He is survived by: his daughters, Sara Rapert (Max) and Carol Copeland (Brent); and his grandchildren, Rachel Rowlett and Jack Rowlett.
