She was predeceased by: her daughter Susie Yeakey; her siblings, Brenda Douglas, Pat Daniels and Lester McCorkle; and her parent Hazel Ingle McCorkle.
She is survived by: her husband Rhew "Buster" Bales; her son John Preston Bales of Memphis, TN; her siblings, Joyce Wilson (Gene) of Tyronza, AR, Wanza Fritz (Charlie) of Trumann, AR, Ronald McCorkle of Crawfordsville, AR and Larry McCorkle (Kim) of Calico, AR; her granddaughters, Cassie Leigh Ann Cubit and Sonya Dailey; and her great grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Cubit.
