He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph Wesley Hinds and Eula Marie Knight Hinds; and his sister Bertha Aline Turman Hinds. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Miller (David), Karen Wainwright (Jim) and Mark Hinds (Kaaren); his grandchildren, Jessica Harris (Nick), Ashley Ramsey (Dylan), Lauren Villarreal (Justin), Constance Lane, Wesley Hinds and Alex Wainwright; his great grandchildren, Luke, Troy Harris and Emerson Villarreal; and his brothers, Oliver Hinds (Becky) and Ferrell Hinds (Jean). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Center.
