He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Crockett Vaughn; his sister Johnnie LaFerney; his former wife Melba Vaughn; his daughters, Sharon Dunseath (Bob), Karen Hillis (Jack), Janece Lawson (Phil) and Trecia Pate; his grandchildren, Mallory, Erin Dunseath, Kyle Hillis (Autumn), Kelsey Sturgis (Kris), Conell Phillips, Lauren Howell (Richard), Trey Whistle, Matt, Sarah Lawson, Clayton, Trevor and Sam Pate; and his sisters, Oma Dee Darais (Frank) and Verlean Smith. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
