He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hicks and Edna Smith Hicks; and his daughter Laura Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Martha Moore Hicks; his children, Charles "Chuck" Hicks Jr., Alvin Eatman, Tony Eatman, Damon Hicks, Kyle Hicks, Gloria Hicks, Marsha Tucker, Shirley Dominguez and Hannah Hicks; and his sisters, Vernita Rodgers and Beth Straub. He is also survived by numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
