He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Hooks and Anna Marie Jones Hooks; his wife Joyce Hooks; his grandson Brant Hooks; and his sister Agatha Cowart.

He is survived by: his son Billy Gene Hooks Jr. of Prescott; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Julie, Monica and Whitney. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
