Gene Gipson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Gipson of Portland, Arkansas, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Gipson and Lilla Matheney Gipson. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Gipson; his children, Brian (Mildred Hooks) of Huntsville, AL, Thomas Shaw of Milwaukee, WI, Dewayne (Carolyn Shaw) of Milwaukee, WI, Rosalind (Charles Terry) of Clinton Township, MI, Marilyn Gipson of Detroit, MI and Janice (Byron Lacey) of Milwaukee, WI; and his sisters, Jessie Harvey of Portland, AR and Christine Harper of Pine Bluff, AR. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cromwell Funeral Home (600 E St Louis St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Light Baptist Church.
