He is also survived by close friends, mentors and family members.

“In loving memory of Joshua Dewayne Brooks, Joshua was always the light of the room! His charisma, his jokes, his funniness… I used to call him my favorite and he used to call me the same. Tho we knew each other from CA I’ll never forget when he went to Budapest the same time I was there with husband. We had the time of our lives and I loved teaching him all about Hungary. He tried “weird” food and authentic Hungarian drinks. We miss him so very much! Sharing in your sorrow. Great friend!”
