She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gunter and Minnie Grissom Gunter; her husband Coy E. Mitchell; her grandchildren, Heather Dawn Hart, Adriana and Jeremy Vaniel Hart; her son-in-law Jearold DuBois; and her siblings, Bessie Griffith, Anita Eversole, Raymond Gunter, Edgar Gunter, John D. Gunter and Norman Gunter.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Mitchell (Vickie), Janit Hart (Ronnie), Debbie DuBois and Karin Ward (Randy); her grandchildren, Tracy Miesner, Jamie Reed (Tony), Keith Davis (Leslie), Rebecca Taylor (Chirs), Carla Mitchell, Christopher Hart (Jennifer), Jason DuBois (Megan), Christine Naylor (Jeremy), Corey Ward (Stephanie) and Codey Ward; and her brother-in-law Everett Mitchell. She is also survived by twenty three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
