She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Dowdy and Bessie Eubank Dowdy; her husbands, Clifton Ballard and Joe Garner; and her daughter Dorothy Rice.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Ballard of Pocahontas; her grandchildren, Jerri Nelson, Michelle Ballard and Clifton Ballard; and her sister Elizabeth Williams. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
