He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Fiodor Trufanov and Alexandra Tarusova Trufanov; his son Sergei Trufanov; and his siblings, Alexandra, Nicolas, Anna, Ivan, Catherine and Marina.
He is survived by: his wife Valentina Varfolomeeva Trufanov; his daughter Larisa Kachowski, MD (Alexander); and his granddaughters, Alice and Tatiana Maria.
