He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Watson and Lovenner Watson (Bright); his siblings, Edwin Watson, Onzalee Webb and Billie Cochran; and his great grandchild Vallan Buchanan.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Tommie Lynn Watson, Michael Travis Watson, Tiffanie Slagle (Sidney), LaTasha Kirkwood (Matthew) and Norman McBride; and his siblings, Nellie Redford and Lynese Anderson. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
