He was predeceased by: his parents, V. L. Higgins and Maxine Higgins; and his sister Lynn Cline. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Higgins; his children, Amber Connor (Chase) of Atlanta and Christopher Higgins of Macon, Georgia; his stepchildren, Brian Shiro (Holli) of Golden, Elizabeth Retherford (Matthew) of Rolla and Natalie White of Saint Peters, Missouri; his grandchildren, Caleb, Noah Connor, Lilah Katherine Higgins, Hana, Isla Shiro, Reagan, Cullen Retherford, Landon, Olivia White and Jacob Dwyer; his sister Carol Elmore (Larry); and his pets, Sandy, Archie and Bit. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mickey Higgins Athletic Memorial Scholarship Fund. Donations can be dropped off at the Greene County Tech High School principal's office.
