He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Nickell and Ara Nickell (Lewis); and his grandchildren, David, Megan and Keaton.

He is survived by: his pet Bella; his wife Patty Nickell; his children, Connie Feeley (Ron) of Broken Arrow, David Nickell (Diane) of Wasilla, AK and Lanny Nickell (Colleen); his sister Marlene Molett of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Garen, Carrie, Randi, Aaron, Caylee, Luke and Molly. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
