He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Floyd Welch and Mannie Lou Sorrells; his wife Ruthy Welch; his children, Benjamin Welch, Jr. and Charlotte Ann Welch; his siblings, Little and Lavern Talley; and his grandchildren, Robert Lamar Brown, Lakeisha Brown and Javion Dewayne Anderson.
He is survived by: his stepmother Hazel Welch of Gurdon; his children, Stacy D. Welch, Sr. (Terri) of Atlanta, Juana Michelle Brown of Marion and Shonna Knighten (Curtis) of Osceola; and his siblings, Hossie Joe Welch (Jacqueline) of Highland, CA, Raymond Lee Welch of Rockford, IL, Laura Davis of Chicago, IL, Loretha Roberts of Flint, MI, Zandra Welch-Blevins (Andrew) of Memphis, TN, Lois Ann Welch-Ware (John) of Arkadelphia and Bobbie Jewel Franklin of Gurdon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
