She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Sherman and Mary Ludie Maddox (Slade); her stepmother Annie Lavata Maddox; her siblings, Jessie, Johnny, Alfred, Warren, Steve, Virgil, James, Edna, Eula, Ruby, Myra and Annie; and her nieces and nephews, Marvin Glen Davidson, Jr., David D. Davidson and Johnnie Glen Davidson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Violet Propes of Tuckerman, Kay Lites (Marvin) of Dallas, Monica Self (Jack Carter) of Diaz and Cathy Hawkins of Bedford, Texas; and her sisters, Marie Tarpley of Georgia, Phyllis Langston of Georgia and Della Marchman of Georgia. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
