It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Brandon of Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Booker T. Brandon and Thelma Hardaway; her siblings, Robert Brandon, Roosevelt Brandon, Milton Brandon, Chester Brandon, Richard Brandon, Alberta Carter and Shirley Brandon; her niece Latonya Ellis; her grandson Demrius Peel; and her close friend Joe Roddy Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Jerome Brandon of Rochester, Joe L. Brandon of Newport, Joann Brandon of Newport, Crystal Brandon of Newport and Latrice Brandon of Newport; her siblings, Donny Brandon (Denise) of Newport, Albert Brandon of Newport, Edgar Brandon of Newport, Curtis Brandon (Kara) of Campbell Station, Dale Brandon of Orange, Virginia, Velma Anders (Levi) of Newport, Bessie Brandon of Newport, Monica Davis (Charles) of McDonough, GA and Carrie Houston of New York; her caregiver Sharon Henry of Newport; and her niece Felicia Ross of Newport. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
