He is survived by: his wife Cathy Burgess; his children, Michael Zimmerman, Kathryn Kirby-Wellons, Billie Young and Tracie Burgess; and his siblings, Joe, Terry, Gary Burgess and Jimmie Hale. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
