He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Lowry and Gladys Lowry (Mayfield); and his siblings, Big Jack Lowry, Maxine Douglas and Guy Wayne Lowry.

He is survived by: his children, Angie Derrickson (Mark) and David Lowry, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Paden Flippin and Chevis Deming.
