He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley W. Qualls and Mary Lucinda Reed Qualls; his spouse Oxie Dell Potter; and his siblings, Lawarence Qualls, Glover Qualls, Truman Qualls, Edna Kilby, Dovie Kilby and Mazie Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Dewayne Qualls of Atkins and Debra Spencer (Floyd) of Albuquerque; his granddaughters, Amanda Carter of Hector and Melissa Spencer (Raj Basu) of Cambridge; and his great grandchildren, Aahana Basu and Avik Basu.
