He is survived by: his wife Frances Louise Secrest Benton; his son Randy Benton (Mary) of Maynard; his grandchildren, Brett Allen Garrett of Pocahontas and Alexa Marie Benton of Morton, Illinois; his siblings, Charlie Ray Benton of Oklahoma, Wilma Reeves of Cherry Valley, Illinois and Caroline Wright (Gary) of Cherry Valley, Illinois; his uncles, Danny Francis (Glenda) of Maynard and Pete Francis of Maynard; and his close friend Steve Cavitt.
