He was predeceased by: his parents, Ackles Evans and Minnie King Evans; his wife Lea Rose Evans; and his siblings, Lola Mae Penter, Ima Joyce Shaw, Ira, James, Alfred and Carroll Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Gabriel Goodman, Joshua Evans and Norbert "Butch" Gabriel; and his siblings, Eveline Chadwick, Melba Irene Parker (Shane Herman), Robert and Marshall Evans. He is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
