He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Louise Shelby Harris; his parents, Thomas Monroe Harris and Nellie Eliza Harris; his siblings, James C. Jerry Harris (Mittie Lou), W. Bill Harris (Lois), Charles Monroe Harris (Marguerite), Frances H. Smith (J. B.), Rebecca H. Smith (Jeff), Dorothy H. Wooley (Louis) and Evelyn H. Stafford (Art); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Wolf, George Gibbons, Charles Morgan Shelby and Evan Alton Shelby.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Harris (Brenda) and Mitzi Lau (Bobby); his grandchildren, Jesse Harris of Atlanta, Rachel H. Page (Jay) of Atlanta, Clayton Lau of Atlanta, Shelby Lau of Atlanta and Natalie Lau of Atlanta; his sister Mildred H. Gibbons of Memphis Tn; and his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Shelby and Bonava Shelby of Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
